One of the vital statistics of proper journalism practice is VERACITY.
From that it follows that when a broadcast media outlet of national prominence makes a live broadcast containing a glaring departure from truth the integrity of that outlet can be assumed to be in need of immediate remedial attention.
So, when CBS on-air reporter TANYA RIVERO told the viewing audience that Al Gore won the 2000 Presidential election but was denied the office when the Supreme Court gave the victory to George W. Bush (!?), the Journalism/Media Paramedics should have been summoned immediately.
CBS even produced a graphic depicting the fantasy as truth…
