So, what law is Planned Parenthood being accused of violating?
There are three:
1) U.S. code, 42 U.S.C. §289g-2 states that “It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly acquire, receive, or otherwise transfer any human fetal tissue for valuable consideration if the transfer affects interstate commerce.”
This law forbids the people who provide or receive the tissue/organs/body of an unborn human baby from crossing state line(s) in the process of marketing or purchasing. Buy or sell all the “product of conception” (a Planned Parenthood term) you want within your own state, but do not buy or sell tissue/organs/cadavers of human babies across state lines. P.P. employees are seen breaking this law on undercover videos.
2) U.S. Code, 42 U.S.C. §289g–1, states that “… no alteration of the timing, method, or procedures used to terminate the pregnancy [can be] made solely for the purposes of obtaining the tissue.”
Kill all the unborn babies you want, but do not select the killing method based upon getting the most productive harvest of the baby’s tissue/organs/body. P.P. employees are seen breaking this law on undercover videos.
3) U.S. Code, 18 USC §1531 forbids “…the person performing the abortion—(A) deliberately and intentionally vaginally delivers a living fetus until, in the case of a head-first presentation, the entire fetal head is outside the body of the mother, or, in the case of breech presentation, any part of the fetal trunk past the navel is outside the body of the mother, for the purpose of performing an overt act that the person knows will kill the partially delivered living fetus; and (B) performs the overt act, other than completion of delivery, that kills the partially delivered living fetus.”
You can kill the unborn human baby so long as it remains mostly within the Mother’s body. If the baby’s entire head is outside the Mother’s body you cannot kill it, or if the birth is feet-first and the baby’s belly button is outside the Mother you cannot kill it.
