MOLEHILLS MAKE MEDIA MOUNTAINS.

Context is important when seeking to understand right and wrong.

Here’s the actual chain of events pertaining to a hot item from today’s news:

FIRST: John McCain fired a verbal shot by saying people who support Donald Trump are all crazies.

Should a reasonable person find that offensive? Of course.

So, McCain’s glove-slap to the cheek of Mr. Trump and his followers has caused a reasonable offense to been taken. Satisfaction is to be sought.

SECOND: Trump reacts to McCain’s insult by mentioning, in a televised interview, the fact that McCain graduated last in his class at the Naval Academy, at which point the interviewer interrupted, “But John McCain is a war hero.” …. just watch the video:

Did you notice- in the heat of his remarks about McCain’s POW history- Trump makes the statement, “MAYBE HE IS A WAR HERO” (clearly NOT denying that McCain might be a hero)?

THIRD: Trump’s remarks ignite the currently raging firestorm of outrage. Claiming Donald insinuated McCain is not a war hero. The problem is Trump DID NOT deny the possibility that McCain is a war hero. There is no basis for the frenzied outrage of the media led by the vast field of Republican contenders wanting to replace Barack Hussein Obama.

McCain was first to slap Trump across the cheek by insulting him and his followers. Trump accepted the challenge and slapped back. Nothing to see here folks, move along.
