In the midst of Barack Hussein Obama’s celebratory press conference he was asked:

“Why are you content to leave those four people behind in Iran, unaided by American diplomacy?”

Transparency, courtesy and protocol would indicate the proper Presidential response to be a direct explanation of the prevailing atmosphere of contentment and victory  in light of his failure to negotiate the release of four American hostages.

So, transparency, courtesy, and protocol aside, how did Barack Hussein answer?….

So, what was the answer in all those words? It seems to be that “the two issues are not connected.” which belies a somewhat faulty hostage negotiation technique, i.e. give the perpetrators their demands for money and a chopper, and agree that the actual release of the victims will be negotiated separately later.
