The EPA and the NHTSA have proposed fuel standards for trucks to reduce greenhouse gas.
Obama’s minion said this, ” this proposal will save consumers, businesses and truck owners money; spur technology innovation and job-growth, and protect our environment.”
If Washington bureaucrats know how to best run a trucking company why not nationalize them all?
The new mandate does nothing but move decision-making power from companies to Washington.
Trucking companies understand the importance of fuel efficiency. The industry operates on razor-thin margins and is doing everything possible to save on fuel.
Any taxpayer money spent would have already been spent by the private sector if the idea was worthy of investment.
The new mandate will be not be beneficial to the economy or the environment. New climate change-motivated fuel efficiency standards will simply mandate pricier technology that drives up the cost of trucks and takes choices away from producers, who then pass the costs onto consumers.
No matter how much the Liberals try to regulate our economy it will have virtually NO IMPACT on global temperature change.
