Just so you know, next Tuesday, in a special election in Georgia, voters will choose a new Representative to the U.S. Congress.

The particular district has been a Republican stronghold for decades. Democrats think they can strike a major anti-Trump blow by getting their non-politician candidate elected and set the stage for a Democrat recovery in the 2018 election.

You always follow the money to know what is happening, right?

Well, the total amount of money donated and spent on getting elected in this case adds-up to more than $40M!

This contest has set a new record for a single campaign.

The Democrat has received $23M+ in campaign contributions… 97% from outside of Georgia. All but $1M has been spent so far.

The Republican has received $4.5M so far.

The Democrat (Jon Ossoff) has out-spent the Republican (Karen Handel) by more than 7-to-1, and out-collected her by 5-to-1.
