The Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) has a program called EB-5. It allows rich foreigners to purchase an express ticket to permanent residency in America for themselves and their immediate families.

In the last decade the program has generated between $15 B and $21 B. Green Card sales have tripled over the past few years.

The money is supposed to go to create jobs in hard-hit depressed areas.

Actually, the money goes to glitzy projects in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, Miami, and 56% has gone to upscale neighborhoods in New York like Manhattan, Atlantic Yards, and Nassau Coliseum on Long Island.

Senator Schumer, (D-NY), is a fierce defender of the program which the General Accounting Office has declared to be a risk for fraud and national security. Big money often comes from human trafficking and drug trade.
