ELLISON FOR DNC CHAIR!

One scene in the Great DNC Remake of 2016/17 we can keep an eye on is the race for the chairmanship.
Minnesota Representative Keith Ellison seems to have a leg up on the job right now, which is strange because he has some luggage:
His driver’s license was suspended once for repeated refusal to pay traffic fines;
He faced an $18K IRS tax lien back when his Congressional salary wasn’t much more than that;
He was involved in a campaign financing scandal for which his wife eventually took the blame for her “bookkeeping errors”;
He is overtly anti-Israel;
His past includes activity in support of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Louis Farrakhan;
Some of his comments on foreign policy have met with displeasure from the old guard DNC leadership;
He is far from sinless enough to cast the first stone at Republicans when the battle for 20+ Senate seats comes-up at mid-term.
It is not unlikely that additional less-than-helpful information about Ellison will come to light as others campaign for the job.
For Conservatives (and Republicans)Rep. Ellison is a good choice to head the DNC. All that luggage will render him ineffective in his primary duty to oppose Trump and promote Democrats.
