Virginia schools paid the Marxist author of The 1619 Project to come and tell the kids how essential it is to pay reparations to 47 million (+/-) Black American citizens.
The thinking is that because the ancestors of today’s Black Americans were kidnapped and brought here for forced, uncompensated labor, cash payments must be paid to set the accounts straight, to “right the wrong”.
The school system found, in their budget and via “real estate surcharges” (?), almost $600 per minute to pay Ms. Hannah-Jones to make a 60-minute speech during Black History Month, for which she was paid $35,350.
