The event at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021 was organized as a peaceful demonstration by those hoping to postpone certification of the November 2020 election results pending investigation of substantial election fraud.

Persons not affiliated with the organizers of the event infiltrated the body of attendees. These infiltrators intended to influence the crowd to go beyond the law and actually enter the Capitol building. Their tactics included convincing the crowd that they had permission by law to enter the building.

Once the building was occupied the crowd was manipulated to break more laws which activated security force intervention, which led to violence, destruction, and death.

Today, 521 days later, several dozen protestors remain under arrest incarcerated on charges of insurrection.

This incident is an unlawful effort by the Democrats to prevent investigation into election fraud.
