The focus of much of the free world will soon be on the Olympics in Bejing, China. It is a singular opportunity to tame the bully, to harness the monster.
Here are four good ways to stop backstepping every time the Chinese Communist Party pushes us.
The wimpy, isolated “Diplomatic boycott” of the Olympics from the White House has merit, but it lacks impact. All of America’s allies should be strongly encouraged to band together in condemning the CCP’s wrongdoing.
Second, athletes who participate in the Olympics should use the platform to speak-out against CCP wrongs.
Third, every free-word journalist who covers the Olympics should speak-out against CCP wrongs.
Finally, corporate sponsors of Olympic broadcasts should end their participation in the profit-making aspect of the CCP Olympics.
