A senate committee today unanimously launched a check and balance maneuver regarding the power of the President to single-handedly make foreign policy .

The issue is how to deal with Iran’s development of nuclear weapons. Congress will now have a say.

Committee Liberals supported the measure provided it does not force Iran to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist, AND does not forbid Iran from aiding terrorists. Those two demands would be inconsistent with the dictates of Liberal doctrine.
