The Republican Party made a move by erasing Rep. Cheney, but it was more of a stumble than a graceful move.

For Conservative ratings Cheney was almost twice as effective on legislative issues as the person the Party picked to replace her. Stefanik, the new darling of the Party rates a 44% , while ousted Cheney rates a 78%. Read more HERE.

The Republicans seem to be moving toward the middle and away from Conservative ideology of Free Enterprise, Limited Government, Individual Freedom, Traditional American Values, and a strong Military/Border Protection Force).

What makes the direction of the Party’s stumble a move in the right direction is that it exiled a vocal anti-Trump voice. That makes it a boost for Conservatives. Even though the replacement doesn’t vote their way, at least she doesn’t bad mouth Trump who did much for Conservatives in his first term as POTUS 45.

If the replacement had to be a non-birther there are plenty in Congress who rank very high in Conservative support. One can only assume the Republicans do not want to move to the Right. But, hey! At least they are not moving Left!
