WHAT IF?

Let’s say the government told us to submit to “Procedure X”, a short, painless event they say will allow you to avoid an unwanted event.

Now, what if a non-negligible percent of those who submitted to the procedure either died unexpectedly, or suffered minor-to-serious health problems entirely contrary to their health history?

Let’s say that the government accepts no liability for the failures of the procedure.

Q: What would be the logical response for those who knew this and had not yet submitted to the procedure?

Let’s say the “bad event” has a certified survival rate of 98.2%.

Let’s say only one out of 148 Americans experienced the bad event.

Let’s say only one out of 3,260 people who experienced the bad event actually required serious medical care.

Let’s say only one out of 50 people who actually required serious medical care died.

With these numbers the chance of dying from the bad event are one in 562,700.

Let’s say the contents and precise purpose for this procedure is not being made known.

Let’s say the reason for the secrecy is also not being explained.

Let’s say the government explains that even after the procedure the possibility of experiencing the unwanted event is not completely eliminated.

Let’s say there are a few corporations who will profit astronomically by providing the procedure.

Let’s say those corporations accept no liability for failures of the procedure.

A: The smart money is on delaying submitting until complete clarification of the purpose and content of the procedure is made known.

Far fetched conspiracy theory? Hmm.
