Freedom: noun. The state of being unconfined or unrestrained.

Every style of government grants varying degrees of freedom to the people.

Only one style of government is structured entirely around the freedom of the people. That form of government is controlled by the people, and that government is structured for the people. That form is called a Representative Republic. The United States of America is a Representative Republic, (not a Democracy).

The degree to which the freedom of U.S. citizens is confined, or restrained, is determined by the Constitution, and exists only with the consent of the citizens. Each restriction or constraint put upon a citizen of the U.S.A. is meant to prevent iniquity and to promote justice. Each citizen is obliged to judge whether or not their action is consistent with justice. The Bible says such self-judgment is a joy to a just person, but to a person who refuses to honor restrictions and constraints the only expectation is destruction.

Based upon the results of the recent election America is now departing from the joy of judging ourselves to be ever and always seeking justice. The Executive branch of the government will now stop protecting and defending the Constitution; religious freedom will no longer be protected; restrictions on runaway growth of government power and size will be ignored causing taxation to become burdensome; unborn babies will lose what little protection they have from being aborted; justice in the marketplace will diminish as Free Enterprise will give way to government oversight, entrepreneurs will be obstructed; freedom of the individual will give way to oppressive government rule; traditional American values of marriage, family, and education will be constantly challenged; the safety and security that comes with effective borders and strong military capability will begin a slide into weakness and vulnerability.

The United States of America is departing from Justice and heading into Iniquity… wherein lies destruction.

Is this because all Americans have become “workers of iniquity“? No! It is because the true workers of iniquity have succeeded in taking illegal control of the Executive branch of the government.

So what are the folks who still want to prevent iniquity and promote justice to do? God’s people must repent of their ignorance and apathy regarding government affairs. That lack of vigilance and involvement has allowed the current events to transpire. Here is exactly what those who want justice must do… the Bible informs us that God has said: “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” –II Chronicles 7:14.
