If drastic government action is taken in response to a health threat you would think it would be based upon the immediate danger posed by that particular threat… right?
Where does the immediate threat posed by Covid19 rank compared to the other immediate threats America already faces year-after-year?
246,232 Americans “have died from Covid19.” [CDC stats for Nov. 17, 2020]
In reality just 6% of those numbers reported as official Covid19 deaths were not otherwise compromised health-wise. [Officially Revised CDC Figures].
6% of 246,232 is 14,774 total deaths where Covid19 is the sole cause. That’s one of every 22,404 Americans. How does that immediate threat compare to others?
Per the CDC, the top 10 death causes in 2018 America were…
- Heart disease- 655,381. That’s 29 times more than Covid19!
- Cancer- 599,274. That’s 27 times more than Covid19!
- Accidents (unintentional injuries): 167,127. 7-1/2 times more!
- Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 159,486. Seven times more!
- Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 147,810. 6.6 times more!
- Alzheimer’s disease: 122,019. 5.5 times more!
- Diabetes: 84,946. 3.8 times more!
- Influenza and pneumonia: 59,120. 2.6 times more!
- Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 51,386. 2.3 times more!
- Intentional self-harm (suicide): 48,344. 2.2 times more!
Based upon the severity as an immediate health threat Covid19 is not on the list of major concerns.
Arithmetic does not support the drastic government action being taken in the name of Covid19.
