The Trump Administration is cutting the size of government. That means less money is needed to pay all those costs. That means taxes can be reduced.

Liberal/Democrat/Establishment/RINO/Socialist folks shudder at the idea of less government and lower taxes. They are portraying the tax reform bill now in the Senate as a sure-fire way to destroy America!

HERE ARE SOME TRUTHS ABOUT THE BILL:

1. The standardized deduction would almost double from $6,350 to over $12,000 for single filers.
2.  The standardized deduction would almost double from $12,700 to $24,000 for married couples filing jointly.
3. The tax credit per child would increase from $1,000 to $1,600.
4. Simplifying the tax code would allow lower- and middle-income taxpayers to file their taxes using a simple postcard.
5. Doing away with the student loan interest deduction will not harm higher education as opponents claim. The average benefit under current law is just $202, not a significant amount. (The unpaid student loan burden on America is currently $1.3 trillion!!)
6. The proposed bill will eliminate state and local tax deductions, which are simply unfair subsidizing of wealthier states who also have the highest tax rates.
7. Opponents insist that eliminating interest deductions on mortgages up to $1 million will be a tax burden on the middle class. They don’t mention that 96% of American mortgages are under $500,000.(By the way, do they really consider a $1 million mortgage holder to be middle class?).
