We once relied upon objective, unbiased reporting of the news in papers, magazines, and on the air. Those days are gone since the power to influence people’s decisions was discovered to be a valuable asset for those seeking profit, power, or both.

Then came Al Gore’s greatest invention since Global Warming and we learned to use the giant electronic bulletin board dubbed The Internet to get and share information.

Navigating the net was not real easy so some nerds wrote programs to make it easy for us to get and share information. They called them “Search Engines”.

Google became the giant of the industry. No one doesn’t use Google! So we had bias-free, unaltered information at our fingertips. Their motto is “Do No Evil”. Hurrah!

Well, about that. It looks like Google has discovered the value of creating and owning a list of what you do on your computer… without your permission!
