NO CLAPPING OR CHEERING. USE JAZZ HANDS.

In case you’re doubting the wisdom of that whole Revolutionary War/Declaration of Independence thing, have a look at this story from England to understand why it was a good idea.

Britain’s largest student union told attendees of its annual conference they would face “consequences” for cheering and clapping because it excludes deaf people.

The National Union of Students (NUS) held a conference on Tuesday.  Audience members were repeatedly warned to stop cheering and clapping because it has “serious impact” on the accessibility of the conference.

Instead of clapping, the students were advised to use “jazz hands” – a gesture when people wave their hands in the air – as it is  more inclusive to the hearing-challenged.

NOTE: If you’re reading this you are excluding all illiterate people. And, by thinking you are excluding those who do not think. The essence of political correctness is that everything you do is offensive to people who do not do it.

Keep Politically Correct and Carry on Without Cheering or Clapping. Long Live the Queen (oops, sorry dead people, and people who are not Queens).
