In case you are not keeping score in the race for delegates here are the numbers: Clinton is approaching 400 and Sanders is approaching 50.

It takes 2,382 delegates to get the nomination.

Bill’s wife has a big leg-up on Socialist Sanders because of endorsements from big-shot party and elected officials who are free to pledge support for the candidate of their choice. These “special people” are called Superdelegates.

The Republican party does not use the Superdelegate system.
