[the first issue of Time Magazine]

Time magazine editors, writers, and fact-checkers must have gotten chills just anticipating the impact of their published article announcing that temperatures at the North Pole are 50-degrees F. higher than normal!

The impact has indeed been significant since after publication and distribution it was discovered that the location in view was about a thousand miles South of The North Pole. The reference data the magazine writer was using was for a little town in central Alaska called North Pole.

The inconvenient truth was discovered too late to stop the presses, so a correction has been issued.
