Kansas congressman Mike Pompeo wrote to the State Department to inquire why Obama’s nuclear “deal” with Iran does not bear the signature of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

The State Dept. responded: “The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document.”

Q: So, what exactly is the real, tangible, enforceable substance of the Treaty/Agreement/Whatever?
A: (from State Dept. spokesperson) … it is “a group of political commitments instead of a legally binding document”.

Wait, what? All that hoopla was about a bunch of implied non-descript political commitments having no “teeth”?

Obama’s talking head went on to say, “The success of the JCPOA will depend not on whether it is legally binding or signed, but rather on the extensive verification measures we have put in place, as well as Iran’s understanding that we have the capacity to re-impose — and ramp up — our sanctions if Iran does not meet its commitments.”

Liberal Doctrine includes some limp-wristed methodologies.

Oh well, it looks like the only ones celebrating the “Deal” are Iranians:
