Here are a few examples of Mrs. Clinton’s rousing, if not factual, remarks:
She said: “I’ve laid out my strategy for defeating ISIS. We will.. yadda yadda…”. Every word she spoke on this subject was an itemization of exactly what Barack Hussein Obama has been doing all-along to deal with ISIS. What she calls “my strategy” is just more of the same. Oops!
She said: “Bernie Sanders and I will work together to make college tuition-free.. yadda yadda.” Under her proposal, the government would pay for tuition at in-state colleges and universities for students from families earning less than $125,000 a year. That would leave students still bearing the cost of room and board, which averages $9,500. She hopes voters will hear “Free College for all!” when she says “Free tuition for some.” Oops!
She said: “In my first 100 days, we will work to pass the biggest investment in new, good-paying jobs since World War II.” The fact is her plan is not even close to the “biggest investment since WWII”, because, while Obama spent $814B on the 2009 stimulus, she plans a mere $275B. Oops!
She said: “We will not ban a religion.” The insinuation is that Trump will. But Trump never proposed banning Islam in the U.S. He proposed a freeze on the entry of all foreign Muslims into the U.S., from any country compromised by terrorism, or with a history of terrorism. Oops!
She said (about taxing corporations and the wealthy): “… more than 90 percent of the gains have gone to the top 1 percent, that’s where the money is.” She quotes outdated figures to emphasize her point. The fact is, the upper 1 percent captured 52 percent of the growth in incomes from 2009 through 2015. Oops!
